Manchester City F.C. Promotion

Are you a huge City fan? Or do you just follow football and fancy winning a day out watching some quality Premier League action?

Well if you do this is just the thing for you. The City of Manchester Stadium are running a competition to find the new Eastlands cake. With Eccles, Bakewell and Chorley all boasting their own regional treat, they want to find a cake that embodies everything that is good about the East Manchester area.

What do you have to do?

The Stadium’s Hospitality, Conference and Events team is calling on all Manchester residents, and beyond, to submit their Eastlands inspired recipes. So whether it contains blueberries to reflect the blue of the Manchester City Football Club, or is a recipe which has been handed down through generations, they want to hear about it.

What's in it for you?

The lucky winner will see their cake recipe served up as a bite sized treat across all the stadium’s key fixtures, on or off match days, from January 2010. They will also win an all expenses paid, match day hospitality package for four at a Manchester City FC game of their choice (excluding category match a and b games), together with £100 of gift vouchers for the City Store and a half day cookery class with executive consultant chef, John Benson-Smith. Second prize is £75 worth of City Store gift vouchers and a cookery goody bag. Third prize is £50 worth of City Store gift vouchers.

How do you apply?

It's simple- go to www.cityofmanchesterstadium.co.uk and download the application form. The closing date for all entries is 25th October 2009. Good luck!
